On 08-07-2021, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Channi Himmat by complainant namely Veepuri Krishan Verma S/o V. S. N. Raju R/o Subhash Nagar, Jeediemetals, Hyderabad, Telengana at present House No. 232, Sector 5, Channi Himmat, Jammu stating that some unknown thieves entered into their guest house and committed theft by breaking the window panes of house at House No. 176, Sector 6, Channi Himmat, Jammu and stolen LED, wrist watch, silver bracelet etc.
On this, a case FIR No. 124/2021 U/s 454, 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
On this, a special police team of Police Station Channi Himmat was constituted by Deepak Digra SP South under the supervision of SDPO City East Bikram Kumar, JKPS. The team led by SHO Police Station Channi Himmat, Inspector Karan Chalotra assisted by PSI Arun Shan, after strenuous efforts along with the analysis of technical assistance and CCTV footages of the area, rounded up a suspect namely Baljinder Singh @ Mangu S/o Narinder Singh R/o House No. 36F, Sector No. 14, Nanak Nagar, Jammu. During sustained questioning, accused confessed his involvement in the above case and some other cases of different Police Stations of District Jammu and on his disclosure, two more associates named Sunny Chouhan S/o Lalit Chouhan R/o House No. 912, Sector No. 06, Sant Nagar, Old Delhi at present House No. 06, Sector No. 09, Basant Vihar, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and Mohan Sharma @ Munu S/o Kala Ram R/o House No. 1432, Sector 14, Nanak Nagar, Jammu were arrested and following stolen items were recovered from them: -
1. LED Sony 108 cm, Model No. KLV43W662F (2018).
2. LED Panasonic 65 cm, Model No. TH32D400D.
3. LED Samsung 108 cm, Model No. CLA43N5010ARXXL (2019).
4. Silver Bracelet – 1 No.
5. Wrist watch, make Sonata – 1 No.
6. Maruti Car Alto bearing registration number JK02AE/4888.
It is pertinent to mention that the accused was a notorious criminal and has been involved in various theft cases earlier also.
Further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain their involvement in other cases also.
